BOTANICAL:

来 源： 为十字花科植物菘蓝Isatis indigotica Fort.的干燥根。

植物特征： 二年生草本。茎直立，上部多分枝。叶互生，基生叶具柄，叶片长圆状椭圆形，长15～30cm，宽3～7cm，全缘或波状；茎生叶长圆形或长圆状披针形，长3～5cm，宽0.5～3.5cm，先端钝或尖，基部垂耳圆形，抱茎，全缘。复总状花序顶生，花黄色；萼片4；花瓣4，倒卵形；雄蕊6，四强；子房上位，1室。长角果矩圆形，扁平，边缘翅状。

生药材鉴定： 呈圆柱形，稍扭曲，长10～20厘米。直径0.5～1厘米。表面浅灰黄色或淡棕黄色，粗糙，有纵皱纹及横斑痕和支根,根头部稍膨大，有叶柄残留。体实，质略软，断面皮部黄白色至棕色, 木质部黄色。质量以平直、粗壮、坚实、粉性大者为佳。

Pharmacology

化学成分: 靛甙、β－谷甾醇、靛红、板蓝根结晶乙、板蓝根结晶丙、板蓝根结晶丁、植物性蛋白、树脂状物、糖类、氨基酸（精氨酸、脯氨酸、谷氨酸、酪氨酸、γ－氨基丁 酸、缬氨酸和亮氨酸）及芥子甙、抗革兰氏阳性和阴性细菌的抑菌物质及动力精。新鲜叶中含有大青素B。新鲜植物中含3－吲哚甲基葡萄糖异硫氰酸盐（或称芸苔 甙），1－甲氧基－3－吲哚甲基葡萄糖异硫氰酸盐（或称新芸苔甙），1－磺酰－3－吲哚甲基葡萄糖异硫氰酸盐（或称1－磺－基－芸苔甙）。

Efficacy

A new indigoid derivative, bisindigotin (1), with 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD)-antagonistic activity was isolated from the ethanol extract of the Chinese medicinal herb Isatis indigotica. Its structure was determined by spectroscopic methods. In the human HepG2 hepatoma cell model, 1 (50 nM to 2 microM) was found to dose-dependently inhibit TCDD-induced ethoxyresorufin O-deethylase (EROD) activity. (source)
