Herbal Monographs and Information Resources
Although they are often described as databases, the following resources are primarily sets of monographs. They are all quality evaluated or compiled from a particular perspective. It is important to question the criteria underlying the collection and presentation of these resources.

Publicly available:

Cyberbotanica
  A free online botany education resource will help you learn about the botanical compounds used in cancer treatment/research and about the plants that produce them.

Ethnobotany
  This page is from Genentech's Access Excellence Resource Center. An excellent resource for learning the basics of ethnobotany. Included are sections on plant nomenclature and other classroom subjects, as well as outlines of some of the more important contributions of ethnobotanists (mainly from the Americas) to our knowledge of tubers, common foods, and medicines.

Flora of China
 

This site attempts to describe and document in English the diversity of species of flora found in China. These species compose about one-eighth of the world's total. In addition, botanical names, literature, geographical distribution insides and outside of China, and endemism status are available as an on-line checklist.

  Monographs, patient and professional information from the faculty, staff and students of the Children’s Hospital, the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center – Herbs, Botanicals, & Other Products
  Provides information evaluated by oncologists and healthcare professionals at MSK, including a clinical summary for each agent and details about constituents, adverse effects, interactions, and potential benefits or problems.

Phytotherapies.org Monographs
  Free service to practitioners registered with this Australian site, sponsored by Herbworx Corporation.
